Among these I suggest in a particular way the Trattoria dei Vecchi Sapori, located in the centre of the village, whose dishes are a true experience not to be missed.

Visit Busti cheese factory
The cheese factory is always open to the public for visits and tastings and is just along the road 4 kilometres away. “I Formaggi della Famiglia Busti” is the hallmark of the products of the Caseificio Busti that will guarantee its authenticity and origin. Alessandro and Remo Busti, shepherds originating in Alta Garfagnana, began their cheese making in October 1955, a very short distance from the current production site in Acciaiolo, in the municipality of Fauglia.

Visit the traditional pasta makers Famiglia Martelli
The visit starts from the central square of Lari with an introduction to the village and the history that has marked it over the centuries. We then proceed to the pasta factory entering the processing rooms: a small artisan company that produces bronze-drawn pasta using very traditional methods and concepts.

Wine tastings at the Fattoria Uccelliera
It is 4 km away The Uccelliera Farm organizes tastings both during the week and at the weekend, with reduced or complete formula and with reservations required. It can accommodate up to 60 people in a large room, furnished in typical Tuscan style with a fireplace or in a room more ‘collection, always very welcoming. In both types of tasting, the company’s seven wines (two white and five red) are offered together with the entire range of farm products: extra virgin olive oil, truffle products, wine-based jellies, three types of honey ( acacia, millefiori and chestnut), bitter, brandy and grappa.

Bike and Relax holiday
An excursion by bike is in the Etruscan Coast to the whole of the Pinewood Natural Reserve of Tomboli (transfer with your own vehicle or on request possibility of booking minibus of 6 people). Minimum number of participants: 6.
The Transumanza (Pastoralism) road
A road recovered for a new local economy. Day trips on donkeys along the old transumanza roads are possible prior reservation. The service is carried out in collaboration with the association Montagne di Legami e AIGAE guide Nino Guidi.
Excursions to the Lake of Santa Luce
Surrounded by hills and cultivated fields, the Reserve covers 525 hectares, including the SAC (Special Conservation Area), including the entire surface of the lake (105ha), the perimeter strip characterized by lush aquatic vegetation and cultivated fields. The lake, since its birth, has witnessed a rapid spontaneous colonization by marsh vegetation and numerous species of aquatic fauna. isit the Museo Piaggio for the fascinating history of the mythic Vespa at Piaggio’s factory in Pontedera 25 kilometres away. Il Museo Piaggio è stato inaugurato nel marzo del 2000 nei 3.000 metri quadrati dell’ex officina attrezzeria, uno dei corpi di fabbrica più antichi e affascinanti del complesso industriale di Pontedera, dove l’azienda insediò la propria produzione a partire dai primi anni Venti del ‘900.

Born at the end of the XVI century as a “Gallery” attached to the Pisa Garden of Simples (the present Botanic Garden), the Museum enriched its collections during the centuries, holding nowadays an heritage of huge historical and scientific amount.
Visit to the San Matteo Museum
The National Museum of San Matteo in Pisa collects works from the main ecclesiastical buildings of the city and the territory. The collection of stone sculpture includes works from the early Middle Ages to the sixteenth century, among which noteworthy are evidences of the “Romanesque“ period and the masterpieces of Nicola and Giovanni Pisano, of Andrea and Nino Pisani, Francesco di Valdambrino, Donatello, Michelozzo and Andrea della Robbia.
